Take a look at the OLD ball flight laws...

and compare it with the NEW ball flight laws...

Nothing unusual there you might think?...but wait!.... there are two shots that are UNACCOUNTED FOR in the new ball flight laws... No3 the Pull-Slice (or Pull-Fade if you prefer) and No7 the Push-Hook (or Push-Draw if you prefer).

Both the Pull-Slice and the Push-Hook CLEARLY existed on the old ball flight laws and one of them is my stock shot so it MUST exist, you can't just scrap it, pretend that it doesn't exist or erase it from a new set of laws.. it has to be there, a nice shot that starts right and curves left and is hit with a clubface that is pointing RIGHT OF THE TARGET.

The New ball flight laws allow for an in-to-out swing path with the clubface pointed AT the target (a draw) and an in-to-out swingpath with the clubface pointed RIGHT of target (a push) but not for an in-to-out swingpath with the clubface pointed right of target where the ball CURVES TO THE LEFT! it only suggests straight or further curvature to the right... so they need to be added back in so the NEW 11 ball flight laws should look like THIS...

Surely you agree that it's possible to move the ball right to left with the clubface pointed right of the target and with an in-to-out swing? It might only be 1° right but that's definitely not the same as STRAIGHT in my book.

I'd be interested in knowing what you think, of course I think I'm right but if not I'd certainly like to know about it :)

Take another look.. where's the shot accounted for that is hit with an OPEN CLUBFACE an IN-TO-OUT SWING and curves right to left?

What do YOU think?..... are there 11 ball flight laws or only 9?

(nb: If you think I'm right then PLEASE give me (James) at http://www.GolfHappy.co.uk a little credit.... I'm only a little 40yr old hacker with a dodgy wrist and homemade swing!) ;)

The arrows represent various club paths for when I throw it! :D

Shame they missed out the 'over the shoulder backwards lob into a tree that I didn't know was there' speciality throw of mine :)

Haha, remindsme of a guy I saw lose it once, he swung his iron into the fairway turf, left it sticking out and just carried on to the next hole, left it there!

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Hoang Nguyen, I’m a Post-graduate student from Henley Business School, University of Reading.
I'm carrying a research for my project study. It is about Golf innovations, new technologies that promise to revolutionize the game of Golf.
I would like to ask you to please take part in my study by answering a short questionnaire (5-10 minutes on average) which you can find here: http://www.kwiksurveys.com/?u=golfinnovations (in case the link does not work, please copy and paste the web address in you web browser).

Your opinion is very important as it will help to make conclusions that will have real-life practical applications. I would also hugely appreciate it if you could forward it to anyone you know who plays Golf.

I hope you will take part in this important survey, and if you require more information or help with any aspects of this study, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you very much!
Best Regards,
Hoang Nguyen
