I was just thinking about some of the games I've played in the past 12 months and was surprised at the number of courses I've played. The previous year it was about 4

In no particular order:

Edenbridge
Copthorne
Chartham Park
Mannings Heath (Waterfall)
Highwoods
West Herts
Pyecombe
East Sussex National (East & West)
Gatton Manor
Tilgate
Sundridge Park (East & West)
Lewes
Cottesmore (Griffin & Phoenix)
Tyrrells Wood
Leatherhead
La Cala, Spain (America, Europe and Asia courses)

There might have been a couple I've forgotten about. Some interesting ones coming up too including Walton Heath, The Addington, Forest Pines & Bearwood Lakes.

Morning James
I'd like a pound for every course I've ever played. Bloody hell, I could give up work tomorrow. Always been one of my biggest weaknesses playing new tracks.
Can I just say that it has been an honour and a privilege to have played with you on most of those courses. Tyrells Wood (for me) was one of my better finds and I will no doubt be visiting there again a few times during the coming season.
Bearwood Lakes? Goes without saying....straight in to my top 5 courses ever played.
Really looking forward to Forest Pines. Heard great things about it.

Hope this snow packs up soon. Couldn't believe yesterday morning, woke up and we must have had about 4" fallen overnight, and at least another 1" fell during the day. Yet 20 miles down the road at Uckfield they had had none!
Fingers crossed none fell in Reading 'cos that could put next Sundays game in jeapoardy.
Looking at the long range weather forecast on Metcheck it's saying that it should get a bit milder between now and then with not too much rain forecast so hopefully things should be good. But we all know how reliable weather forecasts are don't we!

I've played lots of courses and often find that I'll play a course and go back some years later swearing I've never even heard of the place until I pull up at the clubhouse and recognise the place. Sad, I know.

I like to play a course twice wherever possible, first time to lose a lot of balls whilst trying to remove the cover off the ball with my drives, second time to try and tame the beast and put a score together 8-)

Walton Heath, The Addington, Forest Pines, Bearwood Lakes, Cooden Beach and Karsten Lakes (Gainsborough) have been added to the list now as well as Nizels and the Woosnam Course at Dale Hill. There's a possibility I might play at Beau Desert but might give it a miss as I'm 'all golfed out' at the moment.

"All golfed out". I understand the individual words, but as a phrase that makes no sense to me at all ;)

I agree - at least 2 rounds at a course in order to play it as best you can.

I've had the pleasure of playing The Addington - quite a few years ago with a teaching pro friend of mine. I thought it was almost pleasantly spooky in places (an odd thought, I know), but the clubhouse facilities were extremely dated back then.

Courses on the lists from you and the other guys here that I've played include :

East Sussex National (East & West)
Gatton Manor
Tilgate
Cottesmore (not sure which course)
Tyrrells Wood
The Addington

Others not on those lists :

Valderrama
San Roque
Almenara (Spain)
The Golden Eagle (Portugal)
Praia D'El Rey (Portugal)
The Belfry
Chart Hills
Celtic Manor (2010, Roman Road and The Montgommery)
The London Club (International Course)
The Oxfordshire

A whole host from around London and the more south-westerly home counties inc.

Farleigh Court
Wildwood
Dummer
The Woldingham
Westerham
Bletchingly
Reigate Hill
Chiddingfold
Chipstead
Hoebridge
Hurtmore
Kingswood
Surrey Downs
Surrey National (was Happy Valley)
Sunbury
Merrist Wood
Milford
Pacesham
Pine Ridge
Puttenham
Pyrford
Rusper
Silvermere
Sutton Green
Traditions
Windlesham
Southwood
Blue Mountain
Caversham Heath
Downshire
Mill Ride
Sand Martins
Wokefield Park
Broke Hill
Chelsfield Lakes
Kent National

I just wish that I'd played any single one of 'em half-decently :(

Ok, so I'm an idiot - I haven't played all of those courses in the last 12 months. Got a little bit carried away with my list
